Your private and self contained gite is a newly renovated section of a large and beautiful stone-built barn beside our house, 'L'Abeille' (French for the bee), situated in the quiet hamlet of La Chaume. The gite has been fully renovated, yet it still retains a lot of its original character and charm.
The pretty hamlet of La Chaume is typical of this part of the Cote d'Or with stone-built houses and a 13th century church nestling in beautiful undulating countryside, dense forests and acres of farm land. We are also fortunate in having our own friendly bar - La Caleche (the carriage) - an attraction in itself, which stages a series of professional spectacles throughout most of the summer season.
